The Fox® multi-axis positioners consist of a powered rotary work plate with the ability to integrate clamping depending on the casting type/size and the customers’ needs. Quick-change jaws can be integrated to allow for rapid adjustment to hold a large variety of castings with minimal set-up.
These positioners also have a pivoting axis for tilting of the casting for better presentation to the operator. The unit will allow a heavy casting to be quickly clamped onto the table and then easily positioned for various processing operations or inspection. Typically, the unit is used with a swing frame cut-off, a swing frame grinder, and/or small hand tools, but can be used with manipulator finishing systems such as the VTS™ as well.
Positioners allow you to position your casting the way you need it to maximize your productivity
Fox® Overhead Traveling Grinder for spot grinding and ingot clean-up. This system is remotely operated reducing fatigue to the operator. With the primary controls at the operator’s fingertips and his ability to operate the system in a standing position, his fatigue will be significantly reduced when compared with the swing frame setup. The wireless control station is designed for ease of operation, as well as allowing the operator to move along the work piece for close visual inspection of areas being ground and yet be isolated from the machine eliminating transmission of vibration through handlebars. The controls will allow “feathering” of the areas being spot ground.
The Fox® Remelt Ingot Processing System is an automated start-to-finish ingot processing system that can be tailored to accommodate many different configurations of equipment stations.
Developed from Vulcan’s Robotic Grinding compliant technology, the system provides high metal removal rates by applying the correct grinding force throughout the process. Much faster than traditional rise and fall table grinding technology.
The Fox® SA23 Superabrasive Stand Grinder provides extraordinary robustness, unparalleled performance and longevity. Used for the grinding of Grey or Ductile Iron Castings, it can be used in manual operations, semiautomatic, or robotic applications.
