Vulcan’s new Digital Series Action® Manipulator offers the latest technology for material handling applications. In Foundry applications, this machine is typically used at the shakeout to move castings to overhead conveyors or pallet boxes and can be used in forging applications to load and unload furnaces, and tend presses.

Barrel style rollovers are designed to manipulate mold halves/molds within a rigid frame fixed to the foundry floor or mounted on rails flush with the floor. These rollovers are custom designed to meet the needs of the individual foundry.
Donovan™ Mold Handling Equipment is designed to handle large molds or flasks. This Gantry Style Rollover is designed to handle over 30,000lbs (13,500 kg).
Donovan™ Picture Frame Rollovers are designed to handle large, narrow flaskless molds. These Hydraulic-powered mold rollovers are equipped with replaceable tip mold clamping pads and built-in hydraulics that can run continuously without overheating. The clamping pads are designed to clamp the molds along the long end of the mold to create the greatest clamping force without crushing the mold.
Donovan™ Standard Flask Rollovers are crane hung and designed to lift, move, rollover and close a specific size flask.
Donovan™ Telescoping Rollovers are designed to handle a specific size range and weight capacity of flasks or nobake molds. These rollovers have all the same features as the F-Series standard rollovers, plus a telescoping leg to allow for the handling of a range of Flask or Flaskless molds.
The Mid-West Machine™ Load/Unload Tables are designed to handle rounds or square billets. This equipment will index additional pieces until the load table is full. When the operator is ready for a new piece to grind the car is moved to the car load position and the walking beam places the material on the car.
The Mid-West Machine™ Rounds Rotator is designed to handle rounds up to 45 in (1,143mm) diameter, in lengths to 150 in (3,800mm) and weights up to 50,000 lbs (22,650 kgs). The Mid-West Machine rounds rotator is designed to rotate round, straight product during grinding for “Spiral Grinding” or hold it stationary for longitudinal or spot grinding.
The Mid-West Machine™ Rounds Rotator car is designed to handle rounds up to 45 in (1,143mm) diameter, in lengths to 150 in (3,800mm) and weights up to 50,000 lbs (22,650 kgs). The Mid-West Machine rounds rotator car is designed to rotate round, straight product during grinding for “Spiral Grinding” or hold it stationary for longitudinal or spot grinding.
The Mid-West Machine™ Slab Manipulator Car consists of a base frame, four independent wheel assemblies, hydraulic power unit with valve manifold, two single modules and one double module and a festoon for power and control circuits. The unit allows the operator to manipulate and clamp slabs from the cab. The car may be loaded with a fork truck or crane. The unit allows manipulation and clamping so all four sides can be secured and ground efficiently.
This Mid-West Machine™ Square Billet Manipulator system consists of two (2) separate clamping modules constructed of 1-1/2 in (38mm) plate with wear strips in the area where the billets are clamped or manipulated. Each module has three (3) heavy-duty clamping/holding arms that are powered using hydraulic cylinders. Material from 3 in (76mm) to 12 in (305mm) square can be manipulated and securely clamped for condition grinding on each side and for corner grinding. Each module shall have a central plumbing point to be piped in the field.
